Lara’s professional journey is a testament to her commitment to mental health care and disaster response. Completing the Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider Training Course in 2018, she honed her skills for remote therapy. From 2002 to 2005, she received invaluable supervision at The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy in New York, NY, specializing in cognitive-behavioral techniques. Lara’s expertise in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) was recognized with certificates from the Albert Ellis Institute and the NYS Office of Mental Health in 2001 and 2002, respectively. Rising through the ranks of a prestigious NYC social service agency from 2001 to 2008, Lara held various supervisory positions, culminating in Vice President of Outpatient Mental Health Services & Family Support Programs.
