Professional Background

Amber Foster is a licensed clinical social worker and board approved supervisor. As the owner and founder of Infinite Hope Counseling PLLC, Amber provides psychotherapy services to people from all walks of life. Amber has a passion for working with trauma survivors. Over the last ten years, Amber has worked with trauma survivors in some capacity. Amber is passionate about helping clients to find hope through their healing journey.

Amber’s passion to support trauma survivors has inspired her to participate in specialized and evidenced-based training to best serve these populations. These practices include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Theraplay, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, Amber integrates somatic practices, mindfulness, and breath work into her work with trauma survivors.

When Amber is not in a client session, she provides licensing supervision for licensed social workers or EMDR consultation for newly trained EMDR therapists. This is an important part of Amber’s work and professional development, as she is passionate about mentoring and being a leader in the mental health community. Amber also finds joy in providing education to community members on topics such as intimate partner violence, intersectionality, racial trauma, and integrating yoga and psychotherapy.

Amber is dedicated to upholding the ethics set forth by the National Association of Social Work as they align with her personal and professional values. These values guide her work in this profession and increase humility in regard to the privilege she has to walk with a client through the healing process. Therefore, staying up to date on new research and interventions is a major part of Amber’s work. She is dedicated to learning and growing in ways that best serve her clients and community.
