Professional Background

Dawn Altman is a psychotherapist and owner of Dawn Altman Psychotherapy and Wellness in Bryn Mawr, PA. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University, and has additional certificates in Trauma and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Bryn Mawr College, and Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania through Coursera.

She is currently a Jungian Psychoanalyst Candidate through the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts, and the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts.
As a Depth Psychotherapist, she specializes in helping clients to heal from complex and relational trauma, and incorporates Jungian-oriented therapy to help people discover more meaning and purpose in life.

In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Dawn is a certified yoga teacher and therapist. She uses her training as a yoga therapist to incorporate somatic work in therapy for a more holistic approach that encompasses mind, body and spirit.
