Anxiety is one of the most common types of mental illness. It can present by itself or occur alongside symptoms of depression, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. There are tons of YouTube channels and videos about anxiety, so we decided to take a look at some of the best. These YouTube channels include mental health information, personal stories from those struggling with anxiety, and even videos to help soothe or manage anxiety symptoms.

Find a supportive therapist that can help with anxiety. BetterHelp has over 20,000 licensed therapists who provide convenient and affordable online therapy. BetterHelp starts at $60 per week. Complete a brief questionnaire and get matched with the right therapist for you.

Dr. Rami3. Dr. Rami Nader

This registered Canadian psychologist has a series on his channel completely dedicated to anxiety and worry. “The goal of this channel is to teach and inform about scientifically-supported and proven techniques to better manage psychological difficulties to help you live better,” he shares.

Psych Hub focuses on all things mental health, from substance abuse to dealing with anxiety. Their YouTube channel has different series’ on dealing with COVID and ADHD, but we especially appreciate their videos on anxiety, panic attacks, and panic attack symptoms.

tedx6. TEDx Talks

If you’re familiar with TEDx Talks at all, you know they talk about a variety of things, including anxiety. From comedians to doctors to therapists, this channel is a hub for intelligent conversation on difficult topics. Olivia Remes from the University of Cambridge shares how to cope with anxiety. Colin Bien shares his personal story of breaking the loop of anxiety. Comedian and performer Jordan Raskopolous shares what it’s like to be both shy and loud at the same time.

nature relaxation films7. Nature Relaxation Films

Admittedly, this one isn’t about anxiety per se, but these soothing videos of nature scenes from Norway, Greece, and the Caribbean might be helpful for those struggling with anxiety. Listening to nature or watching peaceful scenes of the earth won’t cure anxiety completely, but it certainly can’t hurt to enjoy it when you’re feeling stressed or anxious. Choose from drone films above Santorini, or listen to turtles moving through the sea.

Body Mind Zone8. Body Mind Zone

This is another good channel if you’re looking to have some peaceful background noise or something to take your mind off of your anxiety. Meditation is often a treatment option for those with anxiety, often part of a larger treatment program, so this channel is a good tool to have in your pocket. You can use these videos to relax or as your soundtrack for your next mindful meditation session.

It would be hard to call this an anxiety channel, or even a mental health channel. Anxiety, in and of itself, is not “bad”—it can even be very important when it works properly. It can teach us what might not be safe. If I am crossing a busy intersection, I need something that lets me know when I have to act. Discomfort helps us to learn, to decipher what we value, what we want, and what we would like to avoid.  Read More

Is OCD a form of Anxiety?

Everyone experiences anxiety or worry at some point in their lives. For people who have obsessive-compulsive disorder OCD, the anxiety of intrusive thoughts is what compels them toward compulsive rituals and/or avoidance. If not, what’s the difference, and how are they connected? Read More
