ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is one of the most commonly diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders. While it mostly shows up in children, many adults, who may have slipped through the cracks in receiving their diagnosis when younger, also struggle with it. If you’re looking for more information, whether you or a loved one suffers from ADHD, here are several ADHD podcasts to help you better understand the disorder.

For our audience’s convenience, we’ve included links to websites where these podcasts can be listened to. Choosing Therapy earns no money from the makers or producers of these podcasts. Read more about our high editorial standards here.

ADHD Experts Podcast1. ADHD Experts Podcast

ADHD experts come together in this recorded webinar series to answer listener-submitted questions on all things ADD and ADHD. Episodes cover everything from symptoms to parenting to work.

One listener especially appreciates this free podcast and the resources it provides. “This is the best free resource I have found to date for ongoing personal education about ADHD. Some episodes are more relevant than others to me personally, but the content is consistently top-notch, with deep dives on particular aspects of ADHD research, treatment, and support. ADDitude, thanks for making this freely available to people, it’s a great gift to me and (I’m sure) to many others!”

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher.

I Have ADHD2. I Have ADHD

Kristen Carder is an ADHD life coach with a podcast dedicated to helping those with ADHD find organization and time management skills. Episodes deal with specific symptoms of ADHD: making a mistake (and thinking it’s the end of the world), time management, setting goals, and more. This podcast is for those who want actionable steps they can take to manage their symptoms better.

Take it from one listener, who describes how she struggled to understand herself before her diagnosis. “I felt shame. I felt alone. Kristen has provided a resource that I will be forever grateful for. She has pushed me to learn more about myself and what it means to be neurodivergent and that it’s not a shameful diagnosis or something to be embarrassed about.”

Listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Attention Talk Radio 3. Attention Talk Radio

This self-help internet radio show focuses on helping those with ADHD and ADD, including managing symptoms, understanding common problems, and navigating a neurotypical world. Podcast host and ADHD life coach Jeff Copper emphasizes understanding how your attention factors into your work and life so you can better understand yourself.

Listen on Google Podcasts or from the website.

Taking Control ADHD Podcast4. Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast

Nikki Kinzer is a certified coach through the ADD Coach Academy and the International Coaching Federation. She created her podcast to help those with ADHD set goals, organize their time, and accomplish those goals.

It seems to be working; one listener found it after a therapy meeting. “This podcast has guided me in ways that have increased my self-esteem, productivity. I’ve read countless books, attended years of therapy sessions, tried multiple medications, and even more, but this podcast is a go-to for me.”

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and more.

ADHD reWired5. ADHD reWired

Coaching those with ADHD is pretty important to Eric Tivers. As a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with ADHD himself, he wants his clients to know two things: “One, that I understand and can verbalize your thought process, and two, that I care. I view the therapeutic process as a relationship-building opportunity and consequently, I don’t approach it with preconceived notions.”

His podcast is for those who want to learn more about ADHD, hear from experts and others with ADHD, and work on productivity. You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and TuneIn.

Adulting with ADHD6. Adulting with ADHD

Sarah Snyder thinks we don’t talk about ADHD in women enough – she would know. Her adult diagnosis suddenly made everything in her life make sense: her obsession with reading but not studying,  her scholastic probation during college, her constant mistakes at work. She wasn’t the picture-perfect case of ADHD, so she slipped through the cracks. She wanted to share her experience with other women so that more women understood the way their brains work.

Listeners echo her statements of feeling lost and alone. “Sarah is the only one that I’ve listened to routinely that offers practical advice, is realistic, keeps the episodes short, and seems to truly empathize! She bares her soul but doesn’t whine. She talks about issues and is practical about solutions. She’s humble and makes me feel like I’m sharing a cup of coffee with her and we are talking about similar experiences,” one listener describes.

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever else you find your podcasts.

ADHD Essentials 7. ADHD Essentials

Brendan Mahan, M.Ed., M.S, is an ADHD/Executive Function consultant, coach, and speaker, who also has ADHD. He interviews top experts, parents, and teachers about dealing with ADHD, whether with themselves or with students. It explores ADHD in childhood and an in-depth look at its effect on families.

Listen on Apple Podcasts.

Translating ADHD8. Translating ADHD

If you’re looking for two coaches who know ADHD because they’ve experienced it, then Cameron Gott and Shelly Collins are here with their podcast to help you understand it all. Their goal is to help you push past the specific challenges you face with your ADHD and help you find success wherever you are. They understand that the world was not designed for those with ADHD, and they want to help you own it, not manage it.

“Owning our ADHD allows us to take the new understanding we’ve developed and turn it into steps, actions, strategies, and processes that work with our unique brain wiring instead of against it, without spiraling down the vortex of self-judgment about our ADHD tendencies,” their website states.

More Attention, Less Deficit9. More Attention, Less Deficit

Ari Tuckman is a psychologist who’s been working with ADHD clients for years and specializes in diagnosing and treating children, teens, and adults with ADHD. He also is a certified sex therapist and works in couples therapy, but his podcast is more about ADHD in general.

“Whenever I meet a new client with ADHD, I always feel compelled to tell her a million things that can help her understand her ADHD and enjoy life more,” he writes on his website. This podcast, he says, is those million things. It also offers tips and strategies about making your ADHD work for you. “ADHD takes away your ability to be consistent, so the information and strategies in this book and this podcast are here to give you back some of that consistency,” he says.

Listen on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.

ADHD Support Talk Radio10. ADHD Support Talk Radio

This award-winning podcast features hosts Tara McGillicuddy and Lynne Edris to regularly interview top ADHD experts and discuss important topics like dealing with grief, self-love, and shame.

Listeners appreciate its adult focus, especially since many forms of ADHD media focus on children. “It’s nice to know that I’m not alone being an adult with ADHD,” one listener shared. “I wasn’t diagnosed until I was an adult, so I didn’t learn all the coping mechanisms that I wish I did. This is a great resource!!”

Listen on Apple Podcasts.

Parenting ADHD 11. Parenting ADHD

Penny Williams had no idea about ADHD – until her son was diagnosed with it. She describes her first attempts at trying to help him as “asking all the wrong questions.” She says on her website: “I was searching for how to “fix” ADHD, even though I knew there was no cure. What type of school will make it better? Which medication is best? Which supplements reduce symptoms? What treatment haven’t we tried yet?”

Now, she works as a coach and author to help other parents understand their children, not fix them. Her podcast offers positive parenting strategies, calming activities, homework strategies, and more. “I’ve learned so much, been challenged, validated, encouraged, educated, and supported through this podcast,” one listener says. “Our family has benefited tremendously from the wisdom I’ve gained. Thank you!”

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, and Spotify.

Faster Than Normal 12. Faster Than Normal

If you need a boost of confidence in the form of success stories from others with ADHD, then this podcast is worth a listen. From business CEOs to rock stars, this podcast is packed with how dozens of others have successfully navigated their ADHD while embracing what makes them different.

One listener shares how meaningful it was to see the shift in dialogue surrounding ADHD. “Imagine going your whole life thinking you just couldn’t learn and retain info. You were broken. Then finding a reason behind all that helps but it doesn’t fix the root cause or issue. Learning to look at it as a gift is a mindset shift that will change everything for the positive. Peter was the first guy I’d ever heard talk about and look at neurodiversity as a gift.”

Listen on Apple Podcasts and Google Play.

CHADD Podcasts13. CHADD Podcasts

This two-for-one podcast duo comes from the Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder organization (CHADD) and provides tips and strategies for anyone dealing with ADHD or working with a loved one with ADHD.

CHADD was founded in 1987 in response to the isolation and frustration many parents felt about their childrens’ diagnosis. Now, they work to provide resources and information to parents, teachers, and adults dealing with ADHD.

Listen on Apple Podcasts.

Distraction14. Distraction

Even for those who don’t struggle with ADHD, the world provides a lot of stimuli that don’t make it any easier for those who do. Leading ADHD expert Dr. Edward Hallowell dives deep into ADHD and the distraction that comes with it.

He provides coping mechanisms, insights, and strategies for anyone who suffers from distraction, whether forgetting your keys occasionally to missing important appointments.

Listen on Apple Podcasts.

Living Beyond ADHD with Dr. Barbara Cohen15. Living Beyond ADHD with Dr. Barbara Cohen

Dr. Barbara Cohen spent years thinking something was wrong with her. It took years of calling it everything else – anxiety, depression, panic attacks – to finally get to the root of her ADHD and executive function issues. She created the podcast, and her coaching series, to help those diagnosed with ADHD find success in their life, relationships, and more.

“Imagine a life where you invite in your unannounced neighbor instead of keeping them on the front porch to avoid the Clutter Walk of Shame,” Dr. Cohen writes. “Imagine a life where your plans become actions, your calendar is your best friend (not your worst enemy), and your kids finally believe your promise is a promise.”

Lollie Tasking With ADHD16. LollieTasking with ADHD

Your host, Dr. Lola Day is a physician, entrepreneur, podcaster, work/life coach, and mother of three. Her life hasn’t always been balanced—she spent years navigating burnout and feeling constantly overwhelmed. But using her signature strategies, she has been able to do more with her time, manage her ADHD, and live a fulfilling and balanced life. She wanted to empower other neurodivergent entrepreneurial women and moms to do the same, and thus the LollieTasking podcast was born.

After years of learning from amazing moms, and finally embracing what she refers to as her “ADHD superpowers,” Day was able to conquer procrastination and burnout by learning proper internal and external accountability, harnessing the right structures for her needs, and putting methods in place needed for sustainability in her daily life. This podcast is all about her mission to empower and educate other neurodivergent women and moms so they can do the same!

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Audible.

Hacking Your ADHD17. Hacking Your ADHD

Hacking Your ADHD, part of the ADHD ReWired Podcast Network, is hosted by William Curb, with new episodes every Monday. Each episode explores ways that you can work with, rather than struggle against, your ADHD brain to do more of the things you want to do with your life and your time. Exploring topics like emotional regulation, energy management, focus, and organization through the lens of neurodivergence, this podcast packs an abundance of wisdom and practical applications into every episode.

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher.

Overcoming Distractions The Podcast18. Overcoming Distractions: Thriving with Adult ADHD

Hosted by David Greenwood, author of ADHD bestseller Overcoming Distractions, this podcast is dedicated to telling stories of people thriving with ADHD. Featuring entrepreneurs, inventors, physicians, and more, the stories told here will share helpful insights, powerful tools, and encouraging anecdotes that can empower listeners to live their most balanced and fulfilling lives.

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher.

A Dopamine Kick (Another Podcast)19. A Dopamine Kick (Another ADHD Podcast)

This show is a top pick for fans of humor as both a top tier coping skill and quality form of entertainment. Your hosts, who go by the whimsical names Sparky and Shell, are two adults dealing with the chaos of later-in-life ADHD diagnoses. They share stories about what it felt like when all the pieces finally fit together, and how a lifetime of feeling like an outcast in a world that never felt like it had a place for them, all made sense once they understood why their brains work the way they do.

They created A Dopamine Kick as a safe place to share stories, new research about neurodivergence, and simply embrace the chaos and humor of living a neurodivergent life in a neurotypical world. If you are looking for laughter, lightheartedness, and a hearty dose of profanity, then this show is for you!

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher.

Motherhood in ADHD20. Motherhood in ADHD – Productivity, Parenting, & Education for Moms with ADHD

Host Patricia Sung has a tagline for this series that resonates with so many of her listeners: “You CAN rewrite your story from shame spiral to success story!” Many women and mothers living with ADHD express shame, guilt, and internal self-loathing because they feel like no matter what they do they simply cannot be all the things they have been told they need to be.

Having lived over 20 years with ADHD, Sung wants her audience to know that when we truly embrace who we are and how our brains work, we can figure out how to live our lives successfully, and in turn, lead our families well.
