Professional Background

Erica is a licensed psychotherapist in Minnesota and sees clients via telehealth in order to improve access to mental care for clients who may have barriers to seeing a clinician. Erica has worked in the mental health field for 7 years and, in that time, has worked with kids, teens, families and adults in outpatient, day treatment, rural community healthcare and hospital-based settings.

Erica’s current practice areas include working with adolescent and adult clients who have a history of trauma, attachment issues and core negative beliefs about themselves. Erica has experience treating a wide variety of issues such as difficult life transitions, difficulty navigating medical issues, grief & loss and career burnout, among other issues.

Erica also has experience treating specific issues like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), religious trauma, narcissistic abuse and neurodiversity (like ADHD). Using exposure therapies, emotional processing and behavior strategies, Erica finds that not all lines of treatment work across the board for everyone but change typically happens when clients are ready to do so and trust is established within the therapeutic relationship.

Additionally, Erica uses a strengths-based, non-judgmental approach with her clients and her other treatment approaches include components of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy skills (DBT) and narrative therapies.

Erica is also passionate about provider wellness & supporting her colleagues and associates in the field when making exciting career transitions. Erica works to quickly solve mental health recruiting issues and partners with small group practices up to large hospital systems throughout the nation looking to grow their organization and improve access to quality care.
