Jamesalina Tyus is a psychotherapist, community advocate and fitness enthusiast. Her clinical work focuses on: poverty, community violence, socioeconomics and mental health, weight loss and mental health(wellness), maternal mental health, adolescent mental health, women’s issues, military families, adjustment disorder, and healthy relationships.
She has over 12 years of experience working with children who experience community violence and violence in the home. She is also versed in the socioeconomic aspects of mental health as it relates to the overall mental health and wellbeing of the individual.
Jamesalina began her work in community advocacy post Hurricane Katrina and continues to advocate for the well being of children, families and communities through her work.
She received her BA in Paralegal Studies from Tulane University New Orleans and her Masters of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans.
Jamesalina is Licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas.
