April 4, 2023Thomas Dimino began his counseling work in 2020 at a private practice with a focus on assisting youth clientele. He has since broadened his professional horizons to work with a variety of client populations, such as those struggling with anxiety disorders, ADHD, and OCD. Thomas launched his private practice in 2022 and maintains a focus on work with LGBTQ+ populations and clients working through interpersonal relationship concerns, both romantic and platonic. He also works as a counselor in an outpatient substance abuse clinic with Northwell Health, with a focus on community outreach, education, and support.
Thomas is passionate about normalizing topics that are traditionally taboo to society at large and working with clients to overcome their internalized shame. He aims to educate clients, and others, regarding a variety of topics and disorders to work toward developing a healthier self-image. As a provider, Thomas utilizes Gestalt and Humanistic approaches. He has training in cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and dialectical-behavioral therapies. He aims to support his clients through empowerment and reflective work.
Thomas specializes in OCD and ADHD, as well as many other mental health issues.
