Melissa Engle has been a licensed professional mental health counselor since 2005. She began her career in behavioral health in 1998 and has extensive experience providing counseling services to teens and adults.
Melissa is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Master-Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist, and is fully licensed in Michigan to provide counseling and clinical supervision. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Counseling and is studying moral injury, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and PTSD and can provide services in-home, in-office, and online.
Melissa has been providing supervision to new counselors for 12 years and is sought after for her expertise on PTSD, posttraumatic growth, moral injury, and veterans issues. She has presented at local, state, national & international conferences on PTS and has appeared on radio and television.
When she is not working or attending class, she is spending time with her 2 children, 2 dogs, kickboxing, backpacking, and competitive shooting. She believes recovery is always possible and even though it may be discouraging to know that trauma changes our brains, she knows that so does recovery. As a trauma survivor, she knows the impact of healing and wants to help you recover.
