Professional Background
David A. Porter is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the State of Vermont.
He has a Master’s degree in Psychology from Sage Graduate School, and 20 years clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, Community mental health clinics, a MAT (Medication Assisted treatment) Program and a program for the severely/chronically mentally ill. He also has 22 concurrent years teaching experience as an adjunct instructor in behavioral sciences at four different colleges.
David is a member of the National Association of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Counselors and the Vermont Addiction Professionals Association.
He has written over 280 behavioral science, neuroscience, culinary and political articles on a variety of websites, including Theravive.com, Findmugshots.com, and Budget CEU’s.com.
David is the author of several books including Thoughts on the Antisocial Personality, A Repair Manual for Adults…who have been damaged, and Border Food: The Cuisine of Vermont & Quebec. He has consulted on We all have choices, a crime fiction anthology, by Milton S. Dairy, and contributed two chapters to The Bullied Anthologies: Stories of Success.
