Professional Background

Faith Watson Doppelt is a Licensed Professional and Addiction Counselor working in private practice since 2020. With personal and professional beginnings in substance abuse and childhood trauma, she has dedicated her life to serving others since college. She also finds meaning in helping individuals who have a loved one who is in the midst of addiction by teaching them boundaries and skills to cope more effectively.

From her varied experience, Faith has developed a specialty in treating trauma disorders across the lifespan. She has pursued training in the newest and most effective brain-focused trauma therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting. She has also gotten specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based trauma treatment. Utilizing these interventions in a holistic manner, Faith’s passion for helping adults heal from their traumatic past grows in each session with her clients.

Faith’s therapeutic style has been described as personal, friendly, and genuine. She takes a direct approach to working with clients and rejects the stilted, stereotypical “therapist persona” to develop strong therapeutic relationships.
