People struggling with alcohol addiction or substance abuse may turn to their faith for guidance on how to help themselves beat their addiction. In Christian and Catholic communities, there is much debate about what the Bible says about alcohol. Some people believe that God desires all believers to abstain from drinking even communion wine and there are others who believe the Bible asks practitioners of the faith to enjoy wine, particularly, in moderation.
