At a glance

Henry Meds is a legitimate telehealth company. It’s run by Adonis Health, Inc., a Delaware corporation that has traded since February 2022, and it wasn’t among the companies the FDA sent warning letters to in September 2025.123

Every GLP-1 Henry prescribes is compounded, so none is FDA-approved, and FDA limits on compounded GLP-1s have tightened since 2025.12

The BBB rates Henry an F, with 235 complaints mostly about billing, cancellation and fulfillment. Trustpilot scores it 4.4 from 12,532 reviews.34

If you are considering Henry Meds, the main question is what you are comfortable with: a self-pay telehealth service whose GLP-1 options are compounded. Here is what we found about the company, its ratings, and the safety and regulatory questions to weigh before signing up.

Henry Meds offers telehealth for weight loss, hormone therapy and erectile dysfunction. You pay out of pocket, usually through a monthly plan. For weight loss, every GLP-1 it offers, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, is compounded by a pharmacy. The FDA does not review compounded drugs before they are sold.

Your first evaluation is free. Depending on your state, it may be a video visit or a provider review without a video call. You pay only if a clinician prescribes medication, which usually arrives by mail 8 to 10 business days after the visit. As of September 28, 2026, we found no FTC or state attorney general action against Henry, and no FDA warning letter. The BBB rated the company an F.

Who runs Henry Meds

Henry Meds is the trading name of Adonis Health, Inc. Its Terms of Service describe the company as incorporated in Delaware.5 The BBB lists a San Francisco address and a business start date of February 1, 2022.3 Henry’s careers page also lists offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Katowice, Poland, as well as remote staff.

Henry describes itself as a telehealth platform that provides administrative and operational support. Its Terms say Henry is not a medical provider or pharmacy and does not influence clinical decisions.5 The company also offers hormone therapy, testosterone therapy and erectile dysfunction treatment. It is separate from Adonis, a revenue-cycle software company that raised a $40 million Series C in March 2026.

Are Henry Meds providers licensed?

Henry says its providers are licensed healthcare professionals who work for or contract with independent professional entities, rather than Henry itself.5 Its Terms say visits are with providers licensed in your state where the law allows it. You also need to be physically in the state listed on your account during the visit.5

Henry does not publish a clinician roster or identify its medical groups. In September 2026, one Trustpilot reviewer said the provider at their first appointment was not licensed in their state.4

Phentermine is a controlled medication. Under the federal Ryan Haight Act, Henry’s Terms say a provider may require an in-person visit before prescribing it or may decline to prescribe it.5

How to check a Henry Meds prescriber’s license

Henry posts Florida’s weight-loss consumer bill of rights, which says a provider’s qualifications are available on request.6 Before your visit, ask Henry’s support team or the provider for the clinician’s full name and credential. Then use your state licensing board’s website to check that the license is active where you live.

Is Henry Meds LegitScript certified?

Henry Meds displays a LegitScript certification seal in its site footer, but we could not verify its current status. The seal links to LegitScript’s public checker for henrymeds.com. When we checked in September 2026, a captcha blocked the result.7 You can click the seal to see the current listing.

Are Henry Meds medications FDA-approved?

Henry Meds’ GLP-1 medications are compounded by a pharmacy, so they are not FDA-approved. Most of its other medications are compounded, too, although some hormone therapy, testosterone and erectile dysfunction options are FDA-approved. Henry’s GLP-1 page says compounded drugs are not reviewed by the FDA before sale and may differ from approved drugs in safety, effectiveness and side effects.1

Henry does not sell Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound or Mounjaro. Its options include compounded semaglutide and liraglutide, plus compounded tirzepatide in a dissolving tablet. Semaglutide is also available as a dissolving tablet or drops. For other oral options, see our guide to weight-loss pills. Henry says it uses only licensed US compounding pharmacies but does not name them.1

How FDA rules on compounded GLP-1s changed

When brand-name semaglutide and tirzepatide were in shortage, the FDA paused enforcement of some limits on compounders. That leeway ended for tirzepatide in March 2025. The FDA declared the semaglutide shortage resolved on February 21, 2025, and its enforcement leeway ended by May 22, 2025.2

In February 2026, the FDA said it planned to restrict GLP-1 ingredients used in unapproved compounded drugs that companies market at scale.8 In April, the agency reminded compounding pharmacies that they cannot regularly copy an approved drug unless a prescriber documents a significant difference for a specific patient. It also proposed removing semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide from the bulk ingredients that outsourcing facilities may compound from.29 Comments closed July 30, 2026. As of September 28, 2026, the FDA had not made a final decision.

The FDA says compounded drugs should be used only when an FDA-approved drug cannot meet a patient’s needs. Its telehealth red flags include a company claiming its compounded drug is the same as an approved medication.10

Did Henry Meds get an FDA warning letter?

Henry Meds was not among the telehealth companies that received FDA warning letters over compounded GLP-1 marketing in September 2025. Trade publication MM+M initially listed Henry as a recipient, then corrected its story.11 A search of the FDA website for Adonis Health also found no warning letter.

Henry Meds legal and regulatory record

Eli Lilly, the maker of Mounjaro and Zepbound, sued Adonis Health for false advertising over Henry’s compounded tirzepatide in April 2025 (Eli Lilly and Company v. Adonis Health, Inc., N.D. Cal. No. 4:25-cv-03536-JST). The docket showed the case was still open on September 28, 2026.12 On September 24, 2025, the court dismissed Lilly’s claims about Henry describing its products as “safe and effective,” while giving Lilly 21 days to amend. The court allowed claims about Henry calling its products “personalized” to proceed. None of Lilly’s allegations has been proven.13

A law firm’s website is seeking Henry customers who bought compounded GLP-1s from May 2023 onward for a mass arbitration. The page is an advertisement for potential claimants. We found no filed or certified class action against Henry in the court records we searched.14 Henry’s Terms require individual arbitration for disputes unless you opt out in writing within 30 days.5

As of September 28, 2026, our news and web searches found no FTC or state attorney general action against Henry Meds or Adonis Health, Inc., and no reported Henry Meds data breach.

How Henry Meds handles your data

Henry’s health records are covered by a separate HIPAA notice of privacy practices. Its general privacy policy covers website and marketing data. Updated August 26, 2026, the policy says Henry receives information from partners including Meta, Google Analytics and Google Ads. It also says the company uses interest-based advertising and does not respond to browser “do not track” signals.15

The weight-loss intake page also loads ad tags from Meta, Pinterest and other companies. We did not test what data those tags receive.

Henry Meds ratings on the BBB, Trustpilot and app stores

Henry’s ratings vary by platform: the BBB gives it an F, while Trustpilot rates it 4.4 out of 5. The figures below were current on September 28, 2026.2516

BBB complaints mainly involve billing, cancellation and fulfillment.3 On Trustpilot, 84% of reviews give five stars and 7% give one star. Henry pays for a Trustpilot subscription, invites customers to review the service and has replied to 92% of negative reviews.4

What Henry Meds users praise and complain about

Recent Trustpilot reviews are more positive about Henry’s clinicians than its customer service. September 2026 reviewers mention same-day prescriptions, visits that did not feel rushed and the fact that customers are charged only after approval. Trustpilot’s summary of recent reviews describes Henry’s medical staff as knowledgeable and professional.4

One-star reviews from July through September 2026 describe recurring problems:

Provider appointments that didn’t happen, with reschedules two to three weeks out.

Phone calls that go to voicemail and email replies that take 7 to 10 days.

Injectable medication arriving warm.

Late testosterone shipments.

Charges that continued after canceling.

Forum posts about the dissolving tablets and drops describe mixed results. Some people report steady progress, while others say their appetite did not change. Some long-term users say they have never missed a dose; others report being charged without receiving a shipment.

Can you cancel Henry Meds and get a refund?

You can cancel Henry Meds through your account or by contacting support. If you are on a multi-month plan, you may still owe the remaining balance, and most fees are not refunded. Henry’s FAQ says there are no long-term contracts, but it also says customers may have to pay the rest of a multi-month plan unless a provider decides they must stop for medical reasons.16 Medication is final sale once shipped. If you request a refund after a prescription is written, Henry deducts a $30 consultation fee.516

Safety warnings before you start

Wegovy (semaglutide) and Zepbound (tirzepatide) carry an FDA boxed warning: both drugs caused thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents, and it is not known whether they cause them in people. The Wegovy label says people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2) must not use it.17 Henry’s pages link to the FDA labels but do not mention this warning.

By May 31, 2026, the FDA had received 990 adverse event reports associated with compounded semaglutide and more than 730 associated with compounded tirzepatide. The agency says the actual counts are likely higher. It also advises against using an injectable GLP-1 that arrives warm.10 Henry asks customers to report a warm or damaged shipment within 48 hours.16

Henry lists a faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, anxiety and mood swings as possible phentermine side effects. Tell the prescriber if you have a heart or mood condition.

If you’ve had an eating disorder, talk with your doctor or treatment team before starting a weight-loss medication. Our eating disorders guide covers treatment and support.

This article is for information only and is not medical advice. Talk to a doctor or licensed clinician before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment.

Henry Meds treats non-emergency conditions. Its Terms say to call 911 in a medical emergency.5 If you are thinking about suicide or feel unsafe, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Who Henry Meds suits and who should look elsewhere

Henry Meds may suit adults aged 18 to 70 who pay out of pocket, are comfortable using a compounded medication and want a monthly price that covers visits, medication and shipping. The evaluation is free, so you pay nothing if the clinician does not prescribe.

You may want to compare other options if:

You want an FDA-approved GLP-1 such as Wegovy or Zepbound. Henry does not offer one.

You want to use insurance. Henry is self-pay only and does not file claims. HSA or FSA use is not guaranteed.5

You need quick support. Recent Trustpilot reviews describe slow replies and missed appointments, and Henry has not responded to 29 of its BBB complaints.

If Henry fits what you need, you can start Henry’s free evaluation and pay only if a clinician prescribes.
