Glucobit Inc. makes Reframe, an app designed to help people reduce their drinking. A subscription includes a 160-day course, coach-led video meetings throughout the day, a member community, drink tracking, and meditations.

Reframe’s website states that the app is not designed to treat alcohol use disorder. As of September 2026, the price depends on where and how you subscribe. The free trial usually converts to a full-year subscription unless you cancel beforehand.

How much does Reframe cost?

Prices were checked on Reframe’s pricing and gift-card pages, the Apple App Store, and Google Play on September 5, 2026. Reframe’s help page says prices vary because the program is personalized.

Reframe’s website says it currently sells annual subscriptions only, with the full amount billed once each year. The App Store lists three monthly tiers and four annual price points for the same app.

The plan you see depends on your platform and the offer displayed inside the app. Reframe does not explain what its Access, Silver, and Premium tiers include or which plan a new account will see first.

How does Reframe’s free trial work?

Every new user receives a 7-day free trial. Reframe does not offer a permanent free version.

Its FAQ says it has no freemium plan, only the 7-day trial. Users who left the app installed after the trial report that the remaining content was not usable without a subscription.

The trial requires a payment card through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renews automatically. Reframe’s App Store terms say Apple charges the account 24 hours before the current payment period ends.¹ An iPhone user who does not want to continue should cancel by the end of day 6.

Users repeatedly report expecting a monthly charge but receiving an annual charge instead. Reframe now appears to offer weekly, monthly, and annual billing through different signup paths, so check the specific plan shown before beginning the trial.

Set a reminder for day 5 or cancel immediately after signing up. Canceling early should still allow access through the end of the trial.

What does a Reframe subscription include?

The standard subscription covers Reframe’s core program and community features.

• $79.99 for one 45-minute session

Oar Health reported the same $79.99 single-session price and $249.99 monthly price in June 2025.

Users say the coaching price sometimes decreases when they leave the checkout screen, suggesting that the displayed offer may not be fixed.

How much do Reframe Credits cost?

Some content requires Reframe Credits.

The $4.99 minimum matches the purchase range shown on Google Play.

Reframe does not publish its coaching, credit, or chatbot prices on its website. We could not verify them without an account, so treat these as dated figures rather than guaranteed current prices.

How do you cancel Reframe?

Reframe publishes three different cancellation deadlines:

• Its FAQ says to cancel before the next payment period begins.
• The App Store says to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
• The Terms of Service, last updated in December 2023, require cancellation at least 30 days before renewal.²

Cancel through the subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play, since that is where the recurring charge is managed. Cancel early rather than relying on the least restrictive deadline.

Reframe’s Terms of Service say payments are nonrefundable and that the company does not provide refunds or credits for partially used periods.² Its FAQ says an unused subscription is eligible for a full refund when the purchase is reported within 24 hours. Later requests may qualify for partial refunds on a case-by-case basis.

A May 2026 Reframe blog post makes a third promise: 100% satisfaction or your money back.

Users frequently report receiving refunds after asking. This includes one person who canceled years into a subscription because of financial hardship.

A Trustpilot reviewer who received an unwanted $99 renewal was refunded $49. Support reportedly described that as the maximum amount available.

Reframe does not accept insurance. Its FAQ directly states that insurance is not accepted.

Our review also found no indication that Reframe accepts HSA or FSA funds. Its partner website does not mention either option.

Can you buy a Reframe gift card for yourself?

Reframe’s gift-card page sells all-access subscriptions at the following prices:

The annual gift card costs $5.83 per month, compared with $8.33 per month through Reframe’s standard $100 annual plan.

The gift-card page does not list any restriction preventing someone from buying a card for themselves.

Does Reframe offer discounts after cancellation?

Several users report receiving an email discount after leaving the signup process or starting to cancel a trial. The reported offers reduced the annual price by approximately half.

Reframe does not advertise this offer, and receiving one is not guaranteed.

Does Reframe offer hardship pricing?

Some users report emailing Reframe about financial hardship and receiving an ongoing discounted rate.

Is Reframe worth the price?

Reframe’s annual price works out to approximately $8.33 per month or $1.92 per week.

Several users compare the price with what they previously spent on alcohol. One June 2026 Trustpilot reviewer said the annual subscription cost no more than what they might spend on drinks during a single night out.

Users disagree over whether the community features justify the price. People who stopped subscribing often describe the content as repetitive or say the meetings did not suit them. Some continued using the drink tracker and daily activities while ignoring the forums and meetings.

People who remained members describe using Reframe for years. Some credit the app with helping them reduce their drinking or maintain long periods of sobriety.

Reframe is a habit-change app and will not meet everyone’s needs. It specifically says it is not designed to treat alcohol use disorder.

Ria Health charges $175 to $449 per month for self-pay care. Prescriptions go to the patient’s local pharmacy and are billed separately. Ria is in network with Anthem and Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, and Cigna.

Workit Health costs $250 for the first self-pay month and $150 per month afterward. Most insured members pay $25 to $35 per month, including people with eligible Medicaid managed care plans.

Both services cost more than Reframe, but both provide treatment for alcohol use disorder. Reframe does not.

What apps are similar to Reframe?

Sunnyside is the closest direct comparison. Its Basic plan costs $8.25 per month, billed as $99 per year. Its Cutback Coach plan costs $24.83 per month, billed as $298 per year. Sunnyside offers a 15-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. It focuses on drink tracking and text-based coaching rather than a structured course. Users commonly identify the ability to text a coach on demand as its strongest feature.

Dry Days by AlcoChange is a drink counter with no structured courses. It is free through the Apple App Store and lists no in-app purchases. It has a 4.3 rating based on 746 reviews.

Sober Grid was a free sobriety-focused social network, but it is no longer available. The app was removed from app stores after its founder died in 2021. Its services were discontinued by 2024.

What do users say about Reframe’s billing?

Reframe has a 3.8 Trustpilot score based on 176 reviews. Sixty-two percent are five-star reviews, while 33% are one-star reviews.³

The Apple App Store gives Reframe a 4.7 rating based on approximately 44,000 ratings.¹ Its Google Play rating is 4.4 based on 5,820 reviews.⁴

Most one-star Trustpilot reviews concern renewals and cancellation problems.

A September 2, 2026, reviewer reported two unwanted renewal charges totaling close to $200. An August 27, 2026, reviewer said they could not cancel through the app, Google Play, or Reframe’s website. Another person reported signing up for the 7-day trial in April 2026 and being charged $79 immediately. A reviewer in the United Kingdom said they were still trying to cancel in May 2025 after receiving another £24.99 charge.

Some five-star reviews also discuss billing. One August 2026 reviewer reported that Reframe resolved a renewal payment problem within three hours. Another reviewer said they enrolled in a 6-month plan for $69.99 in June 2026 and had no billing or subscription problems.

A July 2026 Google Play reviewer wanted Reframe to show the price before requiring users to complete its lengthy signup process. The app’s onboarding questionnaire appears before the price. Reframe’s web quiz also asks for the user’s name before displaying a price.
