Do the changing seasons affect your mood?

Some people notice that their mood and energy change with the seasons, most often during the fall and winter months when there’s less sunlight. If these changes affect your ability to enjoy life or get things done, they may be a sign of a seasonal pattern that affects your mental health.

This quick, 5-minute quiz can help you get a sense of whether symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) are affecting your well-being, and offer ideas for how to cope with or treat it.

*As a note, seasonal patterns of depression most commonly take place in Fall and Winter seasons, with symptoms improving in the Spring and Summer months. However, Spring/Summer seasonal depression can occur. Answer the questions based on your seasonal experiences.
