Foresight Mental Health is an online therapy and psychiatry platform that offers services for a wide range of conditions and age groups. Currently, Foresight is only available in five states: AZ, CA, FL, GA, and TX. Costs are not readily shared on the website, but in our experience they range from $80 – $450 per session, depending on the service. Foresight accepts insurance from many major plans, including Medicare, which could lower costs.
Foresight has a small therapist directory that you can search through, filtering by state and name. According to the Foresight website, providers will be able to assess your symptoms, make a diagnosis, and prescribe medication if they deem it necessary. All live therapy and psychiatry appointments are held through a HIPAA-compliant Zoom meeting.
While Foresight has a nice variety of mental health services to offer, most people will not be a great fit for this service. Even if you are located within Foresight’s relatively narrow service area, the platform’s overall design and costs are bested by many of the best online therapy platforms and online psychiatrist platforms.

What is Foresight?
Foresight Mental Health is an online therapy and psychiatry platform that serves a wide range of age groups in just a few states. It treats individuals, couples, families, kids, and teens in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Costs vary, but in our experience, they range between $80 – $450 per session. Foresight accepts insurance from several major insurers, which could lower costs.
Foresight providers will be able to assess your symptoms, make a diagnosis, and prescribe medication if necessary. You can choose a local pharmacy to pick up your medication, but it’s unclear if Foresight can ship directly.
Therapy
Foresight Mental Health uses online therapy to treat a wide range of conditions and age groups. Therapy costs are roughly $80 – $200 per session, depending on which service you select.
According to Foresight’s website, it offers the following modalities of therapy and more:
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Art therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
- Internal family systems (IFS)
- Play therapy
- Narrative therapy
How Does it Work?
On the website, select the button that says “Request Appointment.” From there, you will fill out a form with your demographic information, insurance information, days you are available, and which therapy type you are seeking. Once you submit this form, someone from Foresight is supposed to call you to set up an appointment.
When I filled out the form, someone called me back the next day. I asked a few basic questions about pricing and payment options, and the representative said a manager would follow up with me. However, I never received that call.
Psychiatry
Foresight also offers online psychiatry. You can request this appointment through the online form or by calling (888) 588-8995. In our experience, sessions cost $450 out-of-pocket for an initial assessment and $250 for a follow-up appointment. Like with therapy, if you have an in-network insurance plan, these costs could be lower.
Providers include medical doctors with the ability to prescribe, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs), and physician assistants (PAs). Depending on the provider, they can treat all age groups, and some May prescribe controlled medications, like Adderall for ADHD or benzodiazepines like Xanax for anxiety disorders. Initial assessments with Foresight take around 60 minutes and follow-up appointments last 30-45 minutes. If you end up being prescribed a controlled medication, note that you may need more frequent follow-ups, likely every three months or even sooner.
ADHD Testing, IOP and PHP, & TMS (Georgia Only)
In addition to its primary services, therapy and psychiatry, Foresight also offers ADHD testing, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) (in Georgia only).
- Virtual ADHD testing: Using a software called the Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA-2 CPT), Foresight can virtually evaluate whether or not someone has ADHD. However, this isn’t meant to replace a full neuropsychological evaluation and may not be sufficient for certain healthcare entities.
- In-person IOP & PHP: These Foresight programs, which are currently only available in-person, provide higher levels of care than general outpatient therapy. The site says it plans to offer this virtually in the future.
- In-person TMS (Georgia only): The platform offers this treatment, which uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of major depression, OCD, migraines, etc., in-person in Georgia only.
How Much Does Foresight Mental Health Cost?
While you can’t find Foresight costs on its website, in our experience, they range from $80 – $450 per session, depending on the service. Foresight accepts many insurance plans, including Medicare, which could lower the cost significantly. ADHD testing costs $200.
Note that you will be charged a $150 no-show fee if you don’t show up or cancel without 24 hours’ notice.
Who Does Foresight Mental Health Serve?
Foresight Mental Health offers online therapy and psychiatry to all ages. It does provide a minimum age; instead, it focuses on holistic care for children of any age. Its services are only available in five US states: AZ, CA, FL, GA, and TX.
If you aren’t located in a state that Foresight services, BetterHelp and Talkspace are two of the most accessible therapy options. If you’re looking for online psychiatry, Brightside Health is one of our favorites that is also available in all 50 US states.
User Reviews
Foresight does not have an Apple App or a Google App and there are not a lot of reviews available. On the Trustpilot website, there are only 9 reviews available (all negative) and the platform has a 2.1-star rating overall. Reddit users have had both positive and negative experiences with Foresight, but overall, they seem to recommend the service.

Reviews from Reddit | r/AskSF
Positive reviews from users on Reddit say Foresight is good and reliable. The majority of users had a great experience. Note that this thread seems to be based around the San Francisco location.
Negative reviews from users on Reddit about Foresight report a disorganized scheduling and billing department. Some users say they wouldn’t recommend the platform.
Alternatives & Competitors
Ultimately, Foresight offers limited geographic coverage. It may be a solid option if you live in one of the five states they serve and your insurance plan includes them, but those outside these areas will need alternatives.

Best for Virtual ADHD Testing - ADHD Online
While Foresight offers virtual ADHD testing via the Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA-2 CPT) in five states, we recommend ADHD testing from ADHD Online. Still 100% virtual, ADHD Online’s assessment is available in all 50 states. An initial assessment costs $189 and involves a comprehensive questionnaire reviewed by a licensed psychologist. No live session is included, but results are widely accepted by physicians, and other services (e.g., coaching, therapy, and medication management) are available separately.
