Preview Klarity
Operating in all 50 states, Klarity serves as a directory and marketplace for healthcare providers, connecting users with independent, licensed medical professionals and mental health experts. Their network offers a range of services, including psychiatry, therapy, and counseling—available online and in-person for adults 18 and older. Some providers accept insurance, which you can confirm by filtering your search by state and carrier. While Klarity focuses on adult care, some providers may treat children and adolescents.
Appointment lengths vary by provider, typically lasting 50–60 minutes for initial sessions and 30–55 minutes for follow-ups. Depending on state regulations, your first appointment may need to be conducted in person; Klarity will notify you if this applies. While weekend and evening appointments aren’t guaranteed, many providers offer same-day appointments. Pricing is set by each provider, allowing for personalized services at competitive rates with no subscription fees.
If medication is prescribed, it will be sent to your local pharmacy for pickup. Providers may prescribe controlled substances if they determine it’s clinically appropriate. For certain medications—such as benzodiazepines or stimulants—an in-person visit may be required.
For a subscription-based experience, try Talkspace. For kids and adolescents, consider Brightline, which specializes in treating patients 6–17. And while Klarity offers affordable ADHD care, we encourage you to explore our full list of recommended ADHD platforms before you commit to one.

What is Klarity?
As a healthcare provider directory, Klarity connects users with licensed medical professionals and mental health experts who offer services like psychiatry, therapy, and counseling for adults 18+ both online and in person. Klarity offers treatment for ADHD, anxiety, depression, weight loss, insomnia, and more.
You can sign-up directly on their website and have the option to complete a self-evaluation prior to scheduling an appointment. While some Klarity providers may also treat children and adolescents, availability varies by provider.
Klarity operates in all 50 states, though it currently has more psychiatrists listed than therapists. Service prices are determined by each provider, ensuring personalized care at competitive rates, with no subscription fees involved.
Appointment lengths vary, with initial sessions typically lasting 50–60 minutes and follow-ups ranging from 30–55 minutes. In some states, regulations may require your first appointment to be in person, and Klarity will inform you if this applies. While evening and weekend appointments aren’t guaranteed, many providers offer flexible scheduling.
If prescribed medication, it will be sent to your local pharmacy for convenient pickup. Certain prescriptions, such as benzodiazepines or stimulants, may require an in-person visit, though providers can prescribe controlled substances when clinically appropriate. It always is important to do your own research as well in understanding the differences in medication for depression, ADHD medication, medication for anxiety, etc.
Klarity offers 24/7 messaging access to your provider through the patient portal, but it’s not for immediate crisis response. It’s mainly used for medication-related questions, updates on medication effectiveness, and reminders for follow-up appointments. Klarity doesn’t determine medication costs, which vary based on insurance coverage or the medication’s price.
How Much Does it Cost?
Klarity offers transparent pricing without hidden fees. Patients can also sort providers by the price within their budget. Ultimately, prices vary as they are set by each provider. Some providers offer free consultations (5 –15 minute calls), and initial visits start at around $80. Many ongoing provider visits range between $100 – $150 per session. HSA & FSA are accepted, and Klarity can provide a Superbill.
Does Klarity Health Accept Insurance?
Yes, many providers on Klarity accept insurance for mental healthcare. You can filter your search by state and carrier.
Who Does Klarity Serve?
Klarity serves adult patients, treating kids (12+) only on a case-by-case basis. While Klarity is available in all 50 states, coverage depends on provider availability at the time of requesting services. Certain states have very thin coverage with providers and services may be unavailable to you. You can always join the Klarity waitlist and request a provider in your area.

Alternatives & Competitors
The following companies all offer online appointments and treatment for common mental health disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, weight loss, and insomnia-related disorders. Klarity differs by not requiring a subscription and keeping costs relatively low in comparison.
Best for ADHD Diagnosis - ADHD Online
Klarity and ADHD Online both offer ADHD medication management, as well as address symptoms related to ADHD. ADHD Online doesn’t accept insurance, whereas many Klarity providers do; however, both companies accept FSA and HSA benefits and can create superbills for you to submit for possible reimbursement. Depending on your location, ADHD Online and Klarity can provide online therapy in addition to medication management.
Klarity is right for those that are interested in medication management and are looking for a more affordable cost per visit. With Klarity, many provider visits range between $100–$150 out-of-pocket, whereas ADHD Online charges $199 for the initial visit to create a treatment plan and $175 for follow-ups.

Pros & Cons
- Provides ADHD diagnosis online
- Can prescribe clinically approved stimulants
- Does not accept insurance
- Diagnosis based on a questionnaire
Best for Kids & Teens - Brightline
Brightline and Klarity both offer mental health services, but they cater to different age groups. Brightline specializes in care for children, teens, and their families, providing tailored support for young people navigating mental health challenges. In contrast, Klarity Health primarily focuses on adults 18+, with limited options for pediatric care depending on individual provider availability. For families seeking dedicated support for kids and adolescents, Brightline is the stronger choice.
Additional information can be found in our full Brightline review.
Pros & Cons
- Accepts major insurance plans
- Offer coaching, therapy, & medication management
- Out-of-pocket can be pricey without insurance
- No app for Google play devices
Best for Consistent Geographic Coverage - Talkspace
Talkspace and Klarity are both available nationwide, offering online mental health services, but their reach and provider availability differ. While Talkspace has a robust network of therapists and psychiatrists across all 50 states, Klarity’s provider base is more limited, with thinner coverage in some areas. This means that although Klarity operates nationally, access to care can vary by location. If you find that Klarity’s services are sparse where you are, Talkspace may be a more reliable option for consistent, accessible support.

Pros & Cons
- Many health insurance plans accepted
- Medication management and therapy for individual, couples, & teens
- Out-of-pocket can be pricey
History & News About Klarity
Year Founded: 2021
Founder: Victor Zhou
Klarity Health Inc., a digital mental health platform founded by Victor Zhou in March 2021, has raised $10 million across three funding rounds, most recently in August 2023. The company, originally known as Klarity ADHD and using the url klarityadhd.com, rebranded to Klarity Health in October 2023, and now uses the url helloklarity.com.1, 2, 3, 4
We noticed that in April 2025, a very suspicious site, klarityadhd.net, appeared in Google search results when users searched for reviews of the legit company, Klarity Health. This suspicious domain, klarityadhd.net is not affiliated with Klarity Health in any way. Google’s presenting the suspicious site klarityadhd.net in the search results is not only leading to confusion, but could put consumers at risk of divulging sensitive financial and health information to unintended sources.
“It’s deeply concerning that search engines are surfacing suspicious and deceptive websites like klarityadhd.net,” said CEO Victor Zhou. “Klarity Health is committed to creating a safe practice environment for providers and their patients. When search engines surface deceptive sites, patients can be misled into buying controlled substances without medical supervision. It’s dangerous and undermines trust in legitimate digital healthcare.”5
The incident highlights a broader issue in digital health, where the rise of telemedicine has also opened the door to bad actors mimicking reputable platforms.
Klarity Health, Inc. also owns Kiwi Health which uses the domain kiwihealth.com. This sister platform is focused on telehealth services beyond mental health services, like primary care. Kiwi Health offers practice owners a suite of services targeting patient engagement, care coordination, provider branding, and operations.1, 2, 3, 4
