Professional Background
Dr. Trishanna Sookdeo has been in the practice of medicine for over 10 years, caring for patients from newborns to the elderly. Dr. Sookdeo was the chief resident of Research and Quality Improvement during her final year of residency.
She has served as a family medicine physician in Washington D.C., College Park, GA and most recently Davenport, FL. Dr. Sookdeo treats acute illness, chronic disease in areas of physical, mental, and social health. She also focuses on preventive health care and screening, placing an emphasis on the relationship of physical health to one’s mental and social well being.
She has given numerous community lectures on many aspects of an individual’s health, participated in community outreach and written for the community newsletter. Dr. Sookdeo has been an attending physician for Community Health System and Advent Health Hospital system and has served as Assistant Professor for the University of Central Florida.
