Treatments for anxiety can take many forms. Some mediate, others exercise, and some like to hear from experts or others dealing with the same struggles they have. Whether from certified therapists, life coaches, or everyday people, these podcasts on anxiety are worth listening to.

For our audience’s convenience, we’ve included links to websites where these podcasts can be listened to. Choosing Therapy earns no money from the makers or producers of these podcasts. Read more about our high editorial standards here.

1. The Anxiety Guy

Dennis Simsek has been there when it comes to anxiety. A former tennis player, he suffered from chronic anxiety that nearly had him suicidal. Now he works as a cognitive behavioral therapy-trained life coach and podcast host to help you manage your anxiety so you don’t suffer the way he did. “I took a new action-based coaching approach to anxiety and my life began to change fast,” he writes on his website.

The Anxiety Guy Podcast is about how to tackle your anxiety with stress management tips and discussions about anxiety to help you live your best life. One reviewer describes it as: “I’ve tried several things, this is working. It’s not the traditional style of anxiety relief that I’ve been medicated before, but it’s so simple and utilizes your brain to work against the anxiety.”

2. The Overwhelmed Brain

Paul Colaianni is another behavioral and relationship coach who suffered from depression and anxiety after a long-term relationship breakup. He’s pretty open about his relationship issues – he would later go on to date, marry, and divorce another woman sometime later. But his commitment to becoming a better person inspired him to start his podcast of healing and self-growth.

“Our divorce was the wake-up call I needed to kick my butt into gear and accept that I was the common denominator for all of the relationship failures in my life. It was the first time I took full responsibility for my results and stopped blaming the people I loved,” he writes.

Listeners appreciate his advice. “Listening to this Podcasts provides practical advice, tools with which to help yourself and support to help you value YOU,” one listen reviewed.

3. The Anxiety Coaches

Like many hosts listed here, Gina Ryan knows anxiety because she’s lived it. She suffered from anxiety for 20 years before finding what worked for her. Now she’s sharing her knowledge of dealing with anxiety in her podcast. As a mindfulness coach and nutritionist, she shares lifestyle tips to help you deal with your anxiety and live a panic-free life.

“If you’re at the beginning of a journey through these issues then this is a wonderful place to start learning and finding a sense of hope,” one listener reviews. “And if like me you’re already partway through its a wonderful resource to tap into for support and clarity on different issues and areas to address.”

If so, then hypnotherapist Chloe Brotheridge wants to help. She designed her podcast to specifically tackle common work stresses and anxieties to help you feel more confident in yourself and take pride in your work.

6. Selfie

A blogger and psychotherapist team up for this self-care-themed podcast. Episodes discuss getting enough sleep, eating right, and why self-care is so difficult for some. Anxiety and stress can come from a lack of taking time for yourself, but if you struggle with the concept, this podcast is for you.

One listener appreciates the hosts’ differing lifestyles and approaches to self-care. “Kristen and Roo are a great pair for this. I appreciate the age difference and the differences in life experiences… It feels more like I’m sitting in a living room or at a bar with them and being a part of a conversation.”

Listen on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.

7. Rebel Buddhist

Ana Verzone is a life coach, former nurse, and midwife. She has a nurse’s doctorate where she specialized in stress and anxiety management. Her Rebel Buddhist podcast is for anyone who wants to live their fullest life without anxiety or fear.

Verzone says, “Being a rebel here is a good thing. It means you’re real. Authentic. Wanting to experience everything this crazy miracle of life has to offer. Willing to make mistakes. Willing to question everything. Willing to go against what everyone else thinks is the ‘right’ way.”
