Ever wonder if you’re protecting your peace, or letting others cross the line?

Boundaries are the invisible lines that define what you will and won’t accept in your relationships. They help you stay true to your values, protect your energy, and foster respect between yourself and others. Whether in love, friendships, family, or at work, healthy boundaries create space for connection and individuality.

This quiz will help you reflect on how well you set boundaries, respect the boundaries of others, and balance closeness with autonomy.

How to take the quiz:
Read each statement and choose how much it applies to you.
I feel comfortable saying “no” when I don’t want to do something.

I can express my needs clearly without feeling guilty or selfish.

I respect others’ right to say “no,” even when I don’t like their answer.

I recognize when I’m overextending myself and take steps to pull back.

I can disagree with someone without feeling anxious about their reaction.

I don’t feel responsible for managing other people’s emotions.

I set limits around how much time or energy I give to others.

I aim to balance closeness with independence in all relationships.

I can communicate my boundaries calmly and assertively.

I don’t let fear of conflict stop me from speaking up for myself.

I respect others’ privacy and don’t pressure them to share more than they want to.

I can handle someone being disappointed or upset when I set a limit.

I take time for myself without feeling like I’m neglecting others.

I can recognize when I’m being taken advantage of.

I can walk away from relationships or situations that consistently violate my boundaries.

I try to balance being kind and being firm when I set limits.

I feel confident asking for what I need in relationships.

I don’t say “yes” just to avoid conflict or please others.

When someone crosses my boundaries, I speak up rather than stay silent to keep the peace

I can express my own values or choices to others, even if they disagree.
