Mindful Eating Worksheet Overview
Mindful eating means giving your full attention to your food and to how your body feels before, during, and after you eat. Jon Kabat-Zinn made the slow, one-raisin exercise well known, and psychologist Jean Kristeller built a full program around mindful eating. It can help if you often eat while distracted or rushed.
This worksheet walks you through one mindful bite, then helps you rate your hunger and fullness at a few meals. There are no rules about what to eat.
In this worksheet, we’ll:
- Walk you through one mindful bite, one sense at a time
- Explain why slowing down helps you notice hunger and fullness
- Give you a 0 to 10 scale to check in with your hunger
- Provide a log to track hunger, fullness, and mood at your meals
- Help you plan one meal or snack to eat without a screen
