Energy Management Worksheet Overview
Energy management means looking after your energy as carefully as you plan your time. Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz described four sources of personal energy in their 2003 book The Power of Full Engagement: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, which we call purpose.
This worksheet gives you a self-check for each source, based on the energy checklist idea Schwartz and Catherine McCarthy later shared. Then it helps you list what drains and refills you and plan small habits to renew your energy.
In this worksheet, we’ll:
- Give you a self-check for your body, emotions, mind and purpose
- Explain why effort needs to be balanced with recovery
- Help you list what drains and refills your energy
- Provide a plan for small renewal habits
- Give you a question to check in after a week
