ADHDAdvisor.org has a lot of promise, but ultimately, the inability to pick your own provider, as well as limited provider availability were disappointing. On a positive note, it does offer lower cost assessment and diagnosis than ADHD Online, another platform that does online ADHD diagnoses. Alternatives for ongoing psychiatric care and therapy include Talkiatry and Circle Medical, both of which can prescribe stimulants for treatment.

Diagnostics & Testing
ADHDAdvisor.org can provide adults with an online ADHD diagnosis. This service costs $150 ($20 deposit with the remaining $130 charged after your session). In my experience, I was able to get a same-day appointment. The process required me to fill out a simple online questionnaire. After completing it, I was prompted to schedule a diagnostic appointment with a licensed provider.
During the Zoom meeting, accessed through a link in the app, the provider reviewed my questionnaire results and discussed my medical history and symptoms. The provider was helpful, clearly explaining my results and giving me a better understanding of the next steps for treatment.
Therapy
ADHD Advisor also offers virtual therapy services ($130 per session) to help people manage their ADHD symptoms, including trouble focusing, time management, and emotional regulation.
After my diagnostic appointment with a medical provider, I was assigned a therapist. Unfortunately, they ended up canceling just one minute before our session due to inclement weather that week. When I contacted Customer Support to request a different provider, they insisted this was the only therapist available. Despite several attempts to find a mutually convenient time, I have yet to connect with my therapist.
There is no provider directory to learn more about available professionals, and availability seems highly limited—likely due to licensing restrictions or scheduling constraints.
Medication Management
Medication management with ADHD Advisor costs $130 monthly. It allows you to connect with a provider who can prescribe or adjust medications as needed with regular check-ins to monitor progress. Personally, I found it super convenient to manage everything online—the initial consultation was in-depth, and I was able to schedule follow-up appointments directly through the platform.
Keep in mind that medication itself isn’t included in the cost of the service, so you’ll still need to pay for prescriptions separately. Additionally, like many other online prescribers, controlled substances, including stimulants and benzodiazepines, cannot be prescribed. ADHD Advisor has additional referral sources in the event that it is recommended you take stimulants such as Adderall to help treat your ADHD.
Success Coaching
ADHD Advisor also offers success coaching, designed to help you set and achieve goals, improve productivity, and develop strategies for overcoming the unique challenges ADHD can present in everyday life. Video sessions are done weekly or bi-weekly and focus on helping you thrive both personally and professionally.
Although I was never able to connect with a therapist, I tried success coaching and loved it. The coach helped me break down my goals into smaller, achievable steps and gave me practical tips for staying on track. They designed a care plan that seamlessly integrates into the app as daily tasks.
It was a great experience, especially if you’re looking for more structure and accountability in your life. This feature is perfect for anyone wanting to enhance their productivity and focus on meeting your goals rather than understanding your symptoms.
