Mydayis coupons, discounts, and savings programs can help reduce the cost of your prescription. The cash cost of Mydayis currently rages from $349-$410 for a 30-day supply with no discounts applied. If you have insurance, the cost of your Mydayis prescription will be determined by your plan’s coverage. Getting your prescription via mail order, using generic medication, and using various cost saving methods are just a few ways to save money on your Mydays prescription.

Because of the restrictions and regulations around controlled substances, some pharmacies may not honor coupons for these medications. The current shortage for stimulant medications such as Mydayis may also affect the cost.

If you’re considering Mydayis, online psychiatry platforms can be a good place to start. Circle Medical works with many major insurance plans. This platform can connect you with a provider quickly for psychiatric assessments and prescription consultation on stimulant medications, which are controlled substances.

Boxed Warning: amphetamine, dextroamphetamine mixed salts (Mydayis) – Risk of medication misuse or abuse

Click here to open and close the box warning container.

Mydayis has a black box warning. These are the most serious types of warnings from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Amphetamines, an active ingredient in Mydayis, have a risk of misuse (abuse) which can lead to dependence on the medication, serious heart conditions, and even sudden death.

Mydayis is a controlled substance, which means that it’s more likely to be misused or cause dependence. There are federal and state laws that limit the amount of medication that can be prescribed or dispensed within a certain period of time.

How Much Does Mydayis Cost With Health Insurance?

The cost of Mydayis with health insurance can vary depending on the specific details of your coverage, such as your copy and deductible. The exact amount you’ll pay out of pocket depends on factors such as your insurance provider, the terms of your policy, and whether Mydayis is included in the prescription coverage. Contact your insurance provider directly to understand the specific terms of your coverage for Mydayis.

Commercial Insurance

There are many commercial insurances available, each providing different coverage for prescription medications such as Mydayis. Some commercial insurances may cover all or part of the cost of the medication, while others may not cover Mydayis at all. It is recommended to contact your commercial insurance company to determine if your policy covers Mydayis.

Medicare

Medicare does not cover the cost of Mydayis. For those with a Medicare policy, the cost for Mydayis will be all out of pocket unless coupons and other cost-saving options are used.1

Medicaid

As Mydayis is a brand-name medication, it is unlikely to be covered by your Medicaid insurance provider. However, this can vary from state to state and you should check your state plan and talk to your insurance provider to best determine your coverage.

TRICARE

TRICARE may provide coverage for part of the cost of Mydayis, but individual plans may vary. Talk with your TRICARE insurance provider to determine your coverage and out-of-pocket expenses.

Mydayis Coupons & Discount Cards

While a Mydayis manufacturer coupon is not available anymore, other coupons and discount cards still help you save money on your prescription. Mydayis discount cards typically function similarly to coupons, offering discounts on the retail price of Mydayis at participating pharmacies. Mydayis coupons and discount cards can be found through online platforms or your local pharmacy. To use these options, present them to your pharmacist when filling your prescription.

Mydayis Cost Savings Programs

Mydayis cost savings programs are available through websites such as SimpleFill, NeedyMeds, and The Rx Advocates. Some savings programs help individuals with the entire application and enrollment process and others primarily serve as an information resource. To qualify for a savings program, individuals must apply and meet certain eligibility criteria such as financial need and insurance coverage.

SimpleFill

Simple Fill is a service that helps people qualify and stay enrolled in assistance programs for prescription medications. Patients who are underinsured or have no insurance can apply on their website. Within 24 hours of receiving your application, a representative will call you and determine which assistance programs are the best match for your needs.2

NeedyMeds

NeedyMeds is a nonprofit organization providing information about savings for prescription medications. The search tool on their website allows people to search for information about specific medications. At this time, Mydayis discounts are not available on NeedyMeds. However, programs are changed regularly and patients are encouraged to check back weekly.3

The Rx Advocates

The Rx Advocates is an advocacy service helping individuals apply for patient assistance programs offered by pharmaceutical companies. These programs are only offered for brand name medications since generic medications are typically much less expensive. The Rx Advocates works with the individual and their prescriber to find programs they may qualify for, file the application, and do the necessary follow up communication.4

Other Ways to Find Mydayis Coupons & Discount Cards

Other Mydayis saving options include discounts through pharmacies and discounts offered by online platforms. While these discounts may not cover the entire cost of a medication, they can help make Mydayis’s price more affordable.

Pharmacy Discounts and Savings Cards

Local pharmacies may offer saving discount cards for your Mydayis prescription. Contact your pharmacy directly to learn about these savings options.

Online Resources and Apps

Online websites and apps can help reduce your out-of-pocket costs. These platforms provide Mydayis coupons and discounts and can also help determine which pharmacy offers the lowest price. Examples of these online platforms include GoodRx, Optum Perks, and WellRx.

HSA Accounts

A health savings account (HSA) is a feature of high-deductible health insurance plans. With an HSA, you can set aside money from your paycheck before it is taxed to cover certain health expenses. This means the money you contribute to this account is not subject to federal taxes, leaving the full amount available for use. If you have a high-deductible insurance plan, contact your insurance company to learn if you can pay for your Mydayis prescription with this program.5

Ask Your Prescriber for Samples

Your prescriber may have a supply of Mydayis medication samples to provide you with short-term supply of the medication. These samples may be enough to try out the medication before filling a prescription.

Ask About Getting a 90-day Supply

If it seems that Mydayis is a good fit for you, a 90-day supply can be less costly than monthly refills. You can more easily keep up your supply and reduce the number of refills needed. Mail-order pharmacies typically offer 90-day supplies, which reduces the costs of shipping packaging materials.

Fill Your Prescription by Mail-order

Getting your prescription filled by a mail-order pharmacy is another way to get your medication at a lower overall cost. After your provider calls in the prescription, your medication is typically delivered in a week or two. Mail-order prescriptions work best for medications that have no temperature sensitivities and are used for treating chronic conditions.6

How to Get a Mydayis Prescription

To get Mydayis prescription, you first need a psychiatric evaluation for your symptoms. For an in-person evaluation, start with your primary provider, who may be physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. They can then make a referral to a psychiatrist or ADHD specialist.

Getting an online evaluation starts by finding an online psychiatric platform that can and will prescribe controlled substances. Because of the limitations on prescribing stimulant medications, this process can be challenging. We have used and thoroughly reviewed two such platforms, ADHD Online and Circle Medical, and found them to be helpful starting points for an ADHD evaluation.

Mydayis Alternatives

For some individuals, Mydayis alternatives may need to be considered. Stimulant medications for ADHD work by increasing dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, which may improve ADHD symptoms related to mood, energy, and attention.7

Nonstimulant medications work differently and it may be several weeks before you feel the full effects. Everyone responds in a unique way to medication, and your age, health history, and previous experience with side effects can have an impact. Your doctor will help to decide which medication may work best for you.

Prescriber’s Tips

Luke Prest, MD headshot Luke Prest, MD

In my experience, using Mydayis coupons, discounts, and patient assistance programs can keep Mydayis accessible for more people. Affordability can be a significant concern, which can affect how well patients can keep a supply and take medication as prescribed.

Discuss medication costs and concerns with your prescriber and what your options are, including the following.

  • Getting a 90-day supply
  • Using a mail-order prescription service
  • Using a generic, if available
  • Medication samples
  • Patient assistance programs
